      Introduction to remote App management

      The emteria Device Hub gives the administrator full control over every application installed on each device. The app management can be accessed via the Apps tab in the Device Overview.

      How to access remote App management

      1. Log in to your Device Hub.
      2. Navigate to Devices.
      3. Click on the device you would like to use remote App management with. 
      4. Navigate to Apps tab.apps

      Here you can find an overview of all Installed applications and System applications, together with their full package name and version code.

      Note: System applications are part of the system and cannot be deleted.

      Symbols explained:

      State


      Running-Symbol-2
      Running - This application is currently running on this device.
      Hidden-Symbol-1
      Hidden - The application is disabled. The user can not see and start this application on this device.
      Actions Start-Symbol
      Starts the selected application on the device.

      Stop-Symbol
      Stops the selected application on the device.
      Delete-Symbol
      Uninstalls the selected application from the device. Only possible for non-system apps.

      Note: To disable an application send the command Enable package, select Application package and set Package state to Disabled. By disabling an application the user will not be able to see or start it. The application will not be shown for the user on this device.

      To enable an application set Package state to Enabled and sent the command.
