      Introduction to remote App management

      The emteria Device Hub gives the administrator full control over every application installed on each device. The app management can be accessed via the Apps tab in the Device Overview.

      Read how to access the Device Overview.

      Here you will have an overview of all installed apps, together with their full package name, version code, and state.

      Symbols explained

      State

      Here you will see the type of application:

      Shield-Symbol
      System - These applications are part of the system and can not be deleted.
      User-Symbol
      Custom - These are application installed by the user.

      And, the status of the application:

      Running-Symbol-2
      Running - This application is currently running on this device.
      Hidden-Symbol-1
      Hidden - The user can not see and start this application on this device.
      Actions Start-Symbol
      Starts the selected application on the device.

      Stop-Symbol
      Stops the selected application on the device.
      Hide-Symbol-2
      Disables the selected application. The user will not be able to see or start it. The application will not be shown for the user on this device.
      Unhide-Symbol
      Enables the selected application. The user will be able to see and start it.
      Delete-Symbol
      Uninstalls the selected application from the device. Only possible for non-system apps.
