Follow the steps below to install the emteria.OS installer on Linux.
Follow our tutorial on how to access and get the installer for Linux.
We've tested our installer on Ubuntu 16 / 18 / 20. It might work on other versions and distributions, but if not, please use one of the aforementioned versions.
- Open Terminal.
- Locate the downloaded installer file and make it executable with the following command:
chmod a+x Emteria.OS_Installer-v1.1-43.AppImage
- As a superuser start the installer.
Note: This is a necessary step to allow low-level access to your SD card. - When prompted, enter the password of your Linux system user account.
- When the installer opens it should look like the picture below.

Troubleshooting:
If you are using Wayland (or see an error related to Wayland),as your local user try running the following command before starting the installer:
xhost si:localuser:root
