Introduction to group management

This article focuses on Groups and Group management.

Your licenses can be divided into Groups. This can be done for a better organization and overview of your devices. By renaming groups and adding meaningful descriptions you can see at a glance what the common features of your devices are. For example, their location or their purpose. It could also be useful to group devices that run the same apps or are in the same room.

If you use the emteria Device Hub, groups are also important for the initial activation of universal licenses. In this case, you can create a new group or use the existing one for the purpose of automatic device activation on the initial setup.
