How to install emteria.OS by cloning SD cards

You can activate several devices by flashing and cloning your SD card. This article describes the steps you have to take in preparation to clone your SD card.

After you have set up a Universal License in Device Provisioning of your Device Hub, you can use our installer to flash an SD card, which then can be cloned and used to activate other devices.

For the activation of new devices with cloned SD cards, you can select the group from which licenses will be taken, see the section Universal License.

Note: If the universal license is deleted on the homepage, the automatic activation of new devices with SD cards, which are cloned before this deletion, will fail.

The automatic activation is enabled on our current version of emteria.OS by default. If you use an older version please check before cloning on the Master SD card if automatic activation in the license manager is enabled.

To do this please follow the steps below.

  1. Open the License Manager application form the App Drawer.CloningSDcards1
  2.  Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the window.

  3.  Click on Settings.

  4.  Toggle to activate the Automatic Reactivation.
